A Voice
Born from Obedience
Long-form editorial profile of a Nairobi-born worship minister whose songs invite encounter.
Born Jackline Wanjiru, Jaque Gachiri is a Kenyan singer-songwriter and worship leader. She is the third-born in a family of four, raised in Nairobi in a Christian household anchored in deep faith.
Her ministry journey began at Calvary Covenant Centre. In 2013, she met her husband Samuel Gachiri through a church cantata, a connection that became part of her life and creative story.
In 2018 she hosted The New Dawn, her debut live concert, while pregnant with her firstborn. It became a milestone of courage, worship, and obedience.
Her breakthrough widened in 2023 through Nani Akupinge, Rhema Feast, The War Festival, and a national reach that helped shape contemporary Kenyan worship culture.
Her songs stir hearts, inspire faith, and lead people into genuine encounters with God.— Unleash Kenya, 2025
